Dosage form(s):
Salamol is a short-acting beta-2-adrenergic receptor agonist used to treat moderate-to-severe hypertension (high blood pressure) and pulmonary arterial hypertension (pulmonary arterial hypertension). It works by relaxing blood vessels and increasing blood flow to the lungs.
Ventolin is available as a once-weekly, twice-weekly (Flixotide) or (Apo-Inhaler) inhalation aerosol. It is available in both dry powder and dry powder mixed with a fine powder for inhalation in a propellant device (air or water).
Salamol is a brand name of the drug in the following scenarios:
Bronchodilator: For adults and children 12 years of age and older, or for people with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).

Form of administration:
Salmeterol is administered once daily, or in divided doses. Ventolin is a fixed-dose combination of a beta2-agonist, e.g., fluticasone, and an inhaled corticosteroid, e.g., budesonide, salmeterol, or formoterol. Salmeterol may be administered in combination with a corticosteroid e.g., terbutaline, prednisone, or methylprednisolone.
How to use:
The recommended dose of Ventolin is one 50/100 inhalation dose by mouth, twice daily, or in divided doses. The maximum dose may be used for an additional 3-4 weeks. The dosage of Sinequan inhaler should not exceed 4 inhalations in a month.
The recommended dose of Salmeterol aerosol is 10 inhalations per day. The maximum dose may be used for an additional 2 weeks.
Active ingredients:Salamol, a short-acting beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist used to treat moderate-to-severe hypertension (high blood pressure) and pulmonary arterial hypertension (pulmonary arterial hypertension) for inhalation aerosol, and Seretide, a fixed-dose combination inhaled corticosteroid for inhalation aerosol, used to treat moderate-to-severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Precaution:
Do not use in combination with a corticosteroid, e.g., terbutaline, prednisone or methylprednisolone.
Drug interactions:
Both Salmeterol and Seretide may interact with some drugs (e.g., certain antibiotics, anticoagulants, antivirals, antibiotics, etc.).
Salmeterol is contraindicated in people who are pregnant or breastfeeding and in patients with a history of hypersensitivity. It should not be used during or immediately after pregnancy. The use of Seretide in pregnant or breastfeeding women is not recommended. It should not be used in patients with a history of asthma, other respiratory disorders, allergies, liver or kidney disease, or a history of allergy to any other medications.
The use ofventolinin the treatment of asthma has not been well studied. However,ventolin inhalerhas been used in the treatment of the following conditions:
In clinical trials,has been found to be effective in relieving symptoms of asthma (hypersensitivity to beta-1 adrenergic receptor-positive airway hyper-reactivity), including exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), acute and chronic bronchitis, and exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.
The long-term use ofin the treatment of asthma can result in a reduction in the risk of developing severe lung diseases such as acute exacerbations and acute bronchospasm, which are common causes of asthma exacerbations. However, the use ofin the treatment of the following conditions may also be associated with an increased risk of severe complications and mortality in patients with severe asthma.
In a study conducted in patients with acute bronchospasm, a high incidence of the following events was observed inusers: exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, acute bronchospasm, exacerbation of COPD, acute interstitial nephritis, and acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. These findings suggest that, in patients with severe asthma,may have an increased incidence of complications from acute bronchospasm. These complications may include acute interstitial nephritis, acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and acute and chronic interstitial nephritis. Therefore, the use ofmay be associated with a higher risk of severe complications and mortality in patients with severe asthma.
